Fontainebleau Castle, France [This message has been edited by Gordon (edited 04-15-2001).]Peter Poor old movie section !
U.K. tv showed 'the Man in the Iron Mask' a few days ago.
Internal parts of the film could be shot in a studio. But there was nice glimpses of a very rustic castle, fortified farm, or what.
Reminded me of such places in Normandy. Though it could just as easily been Poland or Albania etc.
Any ideas anyone ?Gordon In the 1998 version, with de Caprio as King Louis, the following castles were used;
Pierrefonds Castle, France
Vaux-le-Vicomte Castle, France
There were 4 versions of this film, two of them from 1998.
Hopefully this is the one you're after Peter.

not a movie buff .. but four versions !!!
First two mentioned I knew, it was the third one I must likely wanted.
